Yalari is committed to supporting our scholars and alumni to ensure they can thrive and succeed in all areas. Building strong partnerships and working alongside companies committed to bringing about better outcomes for Indigenous people and communities allows us to deliver on this commitment.
2023 saw the formation of a new and important partnership between Yalari and RACV, which supports Yalari to deliver workshops, accommodate and help facilitate leadership and professional development camps, and provide driving lessons throughout Australia for our students.
To look at a list of support provided by RACV throughout 2023 so far alone, tells a story of unwavering commitment, showcasing a series of impactful events and initiatives:
- Hosted the Senior Leaders Camp in January at RACV Royal Pines
- Hosted the first ever Yalari alumni 5 Year Reunion at RACV Royal Pines
- Hosted the first ever Yalari Alumni 10 Year Reunion at RACV Royal Pines
- Hosted a Student Support team workshop at RACV Torquay Resort
- Provided sponsorship for the Year 11 Pathways Camp in February
- Sponsored raffle prizes for the Melbourne Cocktail Function
- Provided funding for driving lessons for senior students on their Ls
What has truly distinguished RACV’s involvement is the exceptional commitment demonstrated by its staff across the organisation. From the dedicated individuals at the head office to the hardworking teams in the resorts, RACV’s personnel have exemplified a shared dedication to Yalari’s mission.
RACV has not given only financial support but a genuine and impactful investment into Yalari, showcasing a commitment that extends beyond rhetoric to tangible, transformative action.
